I am looking at various ways that metabolism can be boosted such as physically, nutritionally, and medicinially? Looking for advice and personal experience. This is in relation to weight loss.
Maintaining a healthy diet and exercising are the best ways to increase your metabolism. Starvation diets actually reduce the metabolic rate – your body adjusts to the lack of food and burns fewer calories. Maintaining a healthy diet keeps metabolism at a level rate. Exercise will actually increase your metabolism and burn calories at the same time.
You can boost your metabolism by regular exercise, brisk walking which takes about 15 minutes a day help me a lot. Metabolism slows down due to non physical activity aside from poor eating habits. I would suggest that you eat food that are rich in fiber which can be found in fruits and vegetables. Medically speaking, regular exercise and proper balanced diet boost help boost one’s physical and mental health.
You might want to consider checking out all-natural Cinch 3-in-1 Boost that is part of a newly developed weight management plan but can also be purchased separately.
Boost metabolism. Help keep blood sugar steady. Get the vitamins and minerals you need.
With Cinch Boost, a proprietary thermogenic blend with 270 mg of calorie-burning EGCG, helps retain normal blood sugar levels which may help feelings of hunger. Is a multivitamin and multimineral formula which provides nutritional unsurance.
Hope this is useful and feel free to contact me with questions or the website.
Drink lots of water, eat lots of protein and fiber. Exercise regularly. Try to avoid eating 3 hours before you go to sleep, cut out late night snacking. Some vitamins (B’s especially) can help boost energy and some which have a thermogenic effect (Niacin) on the body and may help as well. Another vitamin to try is Chromium Picolinate (the picolinate version is easier for your body to digest.) With any thermogenics take sparingly as they may cause you to feel flushed and over heated.
look into buying the book : “Eat fat, lose fat” . it’s hard to find because the mainstream food companies don’t want you to find it. it tells you how to straighten out your metabolism.
my mom has metabolism problems, but it is quickly beginning to change since she has read that book and followed it’s instructions.
however, just some advice, metabolism problems are fixed by eating a healthy amount of fats. fats, don’t make you gain weight [revolutionary thought!], sugars do. but, doctors will tell you until their blue in the face that fats are the worst things for you – wrong! fat actually is what gives you body the energy it needs to burn the cellulite that the sugar has packed on. you would benefit from taking a table spoon or so of extra virgin coconut oil [keep it refridgerated] with every meal, and a teaspoon or so of cod liver oil with breakfast. coconut oil is rumored to be the worst thing for you. that comes from a study done with SATURATED coconut oil in the 1950′s. it was then ruled that all coconut oil is bad, when really, any saturated fats are bad. if it is pure extra virgin coconut oil, it does wonders, it really is worth giving it a shot.
I wish there was a way to give you some of MINE! My metabolism is almost too fast; it very hard for me to gain weight. I’ve even been tested for hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid) but the numbers always come back in the normal range. I guess it’s just “one of those things.” Anyway, this wasn’t any help with your question; I guess I’m just rambling because I’m exhausted. Sorry. :) Good luck with your weight loss. I’ve seen some good answers here!
Regular exercise, a good, strict diet, and nutritionsl supplements. There are a lot of metabolism boosters out there. Try GNC or look online at supplements stores, like, or
the way calories are burned is that the body just burns them (duh). Another duh thing that most people ignore is that muscles burn calories just to exist, so it would help to do a little exercising (not aerobic like jogging, but resistance, like swimming and weight lifting or running really fast for longer each session). I’m not saying you shouldn’t do aerobic things, because that’s essential or your heart will mess up or something like that. if you eat less calories (you have to eat around the same amount, just less calories or you won’t burn any at all cuz ur body adapts to that and goes into a survival mode) than you need or almost exactly what you need, your muscles will slowly eat up the fat reserves in your body. Build up the muscles close to the fatty areas the most.
Another good way to burn calories and fat is to drink more water. It has no calories, so it won’t add on to what you’ve already had, and we just plain old need it to keep ourselves breathing. Your digestive system will use more calories and gain none. A way to lose weight faster with water is to drink it at a cold temperature, because your body will burn more calories trying to heat it up. The best time to drink the most is between meals, because it won’t mess up the acids in your stomach and intestines and keep your body from getting the nutrients from the food.
Oh and don’t bother taking ‘miracle’ pills or patches. There’s so many on the market and only a handful work, and they usually have terrible side effects. If it seems to good to be true, it is.
Hope this helped.
Never stop moving. What you do for work or school all day doesn’t count. You want a boost? Get up before dawn and walk for a solid hour. (I get in about 2.5 miles three times a week) This and the South Beach diet have helped me lose 80 lbs and keep it off :) I feel fantastic! I started out doing this walk in the summer, at mid-day, in 90 to 105 degree heat. At the end of summer I scaled back to three times a week and have maintained that for the last year or so…
Building muscles. So to do that, you’d have to eat right…& well…ya know…like lift weights. Cuz once you have muscles…they become caloried burning machines on their own…for food. But you also have to keep them in shape.

Eat 5 or 6 small meals throughout the day, and drink plenty of water.

all I know of is physcially. By doing more exercise you are building muscle. That will get your metabolism to burn more calories.

One of the best and easiest way to boost your metabolism is:
1) Eat several small healthy meals a day.
2) get plenty of exercise.
Believe it or not that in itself will help!

Eat a lot one day and then very little the next. It tricks your metabolism and makes it burn really fast on the low cal days!

metabolic steroids…same as those that world class athletics use if not caught
