NLP Hypnosis: The Benefits
Apart from being used to change behavioral patterns for the treatment of certain problems of patients, hypnosis has also been used for entertainment. When used in this form, it is called hypnosis show. The effects of the trance in hypnosis show only lasts as long as the performance is. There are no permanent effects.
In order for show to go on smoothly, the hypnotist has to select his volunteers carefully. He needs to consider the subject matter of the show and he has to choose his volunteer wisely. This is because once the volunteer is in trance; he can make any suggestions or plant any idea into the mind of the volunteer.
As in all hypnosis cases, total coordination and cooperation from the volunteer is required in order for the hypnotist to be able to put the volunteer under trance successfully. For him to selected suitable volunteers, the hypnotist uses process call induction. During this process, the hypnotist, tell the audiences to close their eyes and listen to his command. By doing so, he will be able to see who is cooperative or not.
A person who resists the command of the hypnotist will never be selected. Any person who is sitting very alert in the audience is one such person. Any person who seems willing to participate in the performance of the hypnotist is the perfect volunteer.
When the hypnotist calls the willing volunteers onto the stage, this is when the actual show starts. One technique, which the hypnotist employs while calling upon the volunteers onto the stage, is to put smaller number of chairs than participants on the stage. By doing so, this will create competition among the volunteers.
The hypnotist then commands the volunteers to perform in various ways and they obey all his command as if they arte in state of sleep. The hypnotist can make them believe that they are drunk. He can make them believe that they are aliens from another world and can thus only speak strange language. The volunteers actually start speaking strange language hearing this command. The volunteers come out pf the trance as soon as the performance is over, they do not stay in the same state of mind after the show and behave absolutely normally.
