yes as long as you get enough protein which makes muscles but i dont know if you will have the energy on a low calorie diet

Yes, if your commitment is to healthy nutrition and you consume an adequate number of calories to maintain and grow healthy tissue. However, it is unlikely that you will develop the large muscles of a bodybuilder. The growth you will likely experience will be moderate.

Dude, if you want to get bigger lift and eat lean protein ALL DAY. I find protein bars and cans of tuna to be my most convenient sources. I cant say it enough, keep that protein on you at all times. And if you are young and lifting the way you should be, dont worry too much about carb / fat intake. You are going to need the energy, anyways. But just remember this advice is coming from someone who weighs 215 lbs and is working on a squat goal of 500 lbs. If you want to have a six pack at 150 lbs thats fine, you wont need to lift. Just starve yourself. But get out of the way when guys like me (and big boned women) come through. And anyone who makes it more complex than this is overthinking it.
