In the battle to lose weight, you can either let your body work with you or against you. Unfortunately most people will go about it the wrong way. A starvation diet does no good, and your metabolism will be messed up.

Try these natural, yet quick ways, of losing weight.

1. Changing Cooking Habits

The way we prepare our food will have big impact on if our food is healthy and low in calories. So our way of cooking has big effect on how much weight we put on.

Frying your food in fats and oils will not be tolerated! This only adds lot of calories. Frying your foods in non-stick pan without all of the oil is much better. If you must add some oil, Extra Virgin Olive oil is the healthy choice. It is more natural, lower in cholesterol and is heart smart.

When you are cooking, remember that baking your food is better than frying. Grilling your steaks and chicken is even better. When it comes to other food and vegetables, see if you can boil or steam it. This will leave more nutrients intact, and it will taste better.

No. 2 Eating

Savour the food, relish each morsel of it and don’t wolf it down. Eating used to be time when each meal was ritualistic. We would sit around the dinner table and talk about our day with family members and eat slowly. So, what happened? Everyone is in such rush now!

By eating slower you will give your body chance to feel full. That’s just how it is. Your saliva will have chance to kick in if you eat slower, and this will help your digestive system. You will lose weight from eating slower.

No 3. Exercising = Lose Weight

Admittedly, if all you did every single day was run about 20 miles per day, you could probably eat anything you wanted to. You also might drop dead from heart attack or stroke. Losing weight is balance between eating right and exercising correctly. They go hand in hand like ham and eggs! Sorry about that.

It is important to find the right exercise when you want to burn calories and stay healthy. Targeting aerobic exercises will help your melt the pounds off.

Jogging, running, swimming, rowing, cycling and dancing are all considered aerobic type exercise workouts. Aerobics kicks your body’s metabolism into high gear to burn those calories.

If you workout with aerobics for minimum of 30 minutes per session, you will keep your metabolism running for the rest of the day. Have as goal to do this 4 times week, combine with your healthy and will see magic happen. Your fat cells will actually burn off. You will burn more calories the longer you exercise.

A. Caution: If you have not been working out then move into this slowly. You will need to build up to longer sessions without possibly hurting yourself. Your body needs to adjust and build into longer exercise regimens.

B. It’s very popular to use treadmills, exercise bikes or rowing machines. Some will even install pools the size of the Mediterranean in their backyards. In case you don’t have the budget for that, the good news is that you don’t need any equipment for aerobic workouts.

There might be community pool in your area where you can go swimming.
