For you who don’t know what ‘love handles’ are, it’s the portion around your waist that tends to bulge over your belt.
Belly fat, tires, etc. are other names for this unpleasantness, love handles being the most endearing term. If you enjoy
lot of junk food and beer, it’s very likely that you have your own set of love handles.

So what can you do to find out if you have love handles? Pinch yourself at your waist. If you are holding on to fat roll
I can promise you that you have bit of flabby fat around your midsection.

Getting rid of love handles is not just matter of doing couple of exercises. You can lose the flab, but it’s going to
take some time. The accumulated fat area around the waist is the last area your body will pay attention to losing. It’s also
the toughest area to target for losing this fat.

These two love handle exercises are going to involve targeting the oblique muscle areas. The oblique muscle group is the
waist area.

Twist crunches targets your obliques and abs, and is very effective. They basically put twist to normal sit-up.
1. Lie on your back with your knees slightly bent.
2. With your hands behind on your head, lift your head slowly.
3. Bring your left elbow to your right knee, twisting your body to your right. At the same time extend your left leg.
4. Repeat this step, but twisting to your left.
5. Do twenty repetitions daily.

You might want to take breather now. Drink little bit of water and recover from shocking your muscles. Now move on to
the other exercise.

Standing Trunk Twists is also good at targeting the obliques.
1. Stand in place with your feet about foot apart from each other and your knees bent slightly.
2. Twist your torso to the left while crossing your left arm out in front of you, extending outward in the same direction
you are turning. Do not move your feet while doing this action.
3. Repeat step 2, twisting to the right side now. This is one repetition.
4. Repeat this repetition 100 times.

These two exercises are great, as they tone and strengthen your love handle area. Incorporate the Twist Crunches and
Standing Trunk Twists in your daily workout program, and you will soon have handle on your love handles.

You also need to have regular aerobic workout with your exercise program. By getting your heart rate up you will boost
your metabolism, and your body will burn much more fat. Have as goal to do 30 minutes of cardio daily together with the
love handle exercises. This will help you in your fight against the fat rolls around your waist.

Last but not least, you need to have balanced diet of vegetables, fresh fruits and lean meats. Your quest in shedding
your love handles will be much easier if you do the right exercises and have proper diet. This will give you quicker
results all over your body, not just around your waist.
