Good Carbs Role In A Diet

Health and nutrition experts, all agree that good carbohydrates are essential for your health. “Carbohydrates” means carbon and water. It is an essential nutrient that your body with energy. The body is able to efficiently use carbohydrates for energy production. In fact, this is what makes them stand apart from protein and fats.

Okay, now we know that carbohydrates are not bad for you. They give you energy and give you the necessary vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients. However, not all carbs are the same. There is big difference between good carbs and bad carbs.

  1. Good Carbohydrates

So what are good carbohydrates? Good carbohydrates are unprocessed carbohydrates that either in their natural state or very close to their natural state. In other words, good carbohydrates contain carbohydrates that are least altered by human or machine. Whole grain cereal starch foods, fruit, beans, nuts, seeds, pulses and green leafy vegetables are all considered healthy carbohydrates.

  1. Bad Carbs

Bad carbs are refined carbohydrates and processed foods. A refined carbohydrates and processed food means that all the natural nutrients and fiber is removed to make it easier for the transmission and consumption. White wheat flour, white bread, pasta, snacks, sweets, sodas, pastries and white sugar are all bad carbohydrates.

Bad carbohydrates are bad for your body because they have high glycemic index (GI). GI classification of carbohydrates is based on the direct effects of carbohydrates on our blood sugar levels. Carbohydrates that are metabolized most quickly glucose is said that high-GI value.

This bad carbohydrates release high level of sugar in our body and that it is in very fast pace. The body works very hard to ensure high level of insulin to process sugar and starch that all these bad carbohydrates contain. These dramatic fluctuations of insulin and sugar in the body is already one of the main causes of obesity, heart disease, cancer and high cholesterol.

  1. Low GI Value

Good carbohydrates are metabolized slowly. They have low GI value. So if you eat good carbs insulin and sugar in your body is not broken. More and more health experts now understand the benefits of good carbohydrates and in particular low-glycemic diets.

  1. Benefits

Health experts now argue that you should not indulge in low-carb diet to get rid of fat. Diet plans are good processing of carbohydrates in the food of their plans. They have finally realized that eating carbohydrates is good way to stay healthy, because –

-Because they are high in fiber, they help you stay longer. This helps you avoid overeating. Moreover, they reduce cholesterol levels and remove toxins from the body.

GI-Because they help stabilize sugar and insulin production in your body.

-Because the sustainable energy supply, promote healthy weight loss and long-term weight maintenance.

-Because they thermal effect, “they naturally help boost your metabolism and fat loss.

It is therefore clear that you need carbohydrates nutrients that you can not do without. Low-carbohydrate eating plans are not only inefficient, they are not healthy. Good carbohydrate diets, which have understood the importance of carbohydrates and that’s what you need to search.
